As housing price increases persist and our options for a new space dwindle, ‘Love your home again’ is the phrase we here at Kenyon Noble are committing to. Make 2024 the year that you fall in love with your home all over again with these renovation ideas, inspirations, and the help of your friends at Kenyon Noble; your Renovation Destination.
While we wait out the muddy season, let’s talk about interior spaces. The two most popular areas to renovate are the master bathroom and the kitchen. Not only are these spaces the ones that we spend the most time in, they’ve got the biggest return on investment after renovation, which is something to keep in mind if you plan on selling in the next few years.
Let’s start with the master bathroom. You use this room every morning and every evening, at least, why not bookend your days with a room that brings you joy? Maybe you have a desperate need for more storage, you’re sick of looking at the beige travertine tile with stained grout, or the jetted tub from 2002 only gets used when the dog needs a bath. Maybe it’s all of the above (yikes).
If we had the freedom to refresh your master bath, this is what we’d do:
We’d get rid of that standard-width, off-the-shelf cabinet (or worse, a pedestal sink 😅) and install a custom vanity from Bertch. Equipped with a wide range of countertops, styles, and finishes, as well as a variety of storage solutions (including under sink caddies and pull-out organizers) — our helpful staff at the Bozeman Home Design Center can help you create the perfect vanity for your specific needs.
Now that the vanity is out of the way, let’s talk about fixtures. The faucet, the tub spout, the showerhead. We are loving a sleek design with a timeless brushed nickel finish, like the one pictured above from Moen. A modern classic style like this will not only bring your master bath up to date, it won’t go out of style any time soon. Pair these new fixtures with a vanity light like the Chicago Three-Light Vanity and your bathroom will feel like a completely new space.
Last but not least, we are loving the dusty green shade of Benjamin Moore’s Lush (AF-475). A paint color that’s reminiscent of eucalyptus, we love the cozy and soothing vibe that is sure to calm even the most stressful days.
Next up — the kitchen! Another interior space that tends to get more traffic than others — between being a catch-all, homework station, and gathering place — your kitchen should be a place where you actually enjoy being. If you’ve been in your home for a long period of time, or you’ve never had a chance to consider a kitchen update, consider this your sign. Here’s what we would do if we had a choice in the matter.
First things first: the cabinets. We’ve all seen the kitchen that has “a ton of cabinet space!” but nothing quite fits right in any of the cabinets, so things end up accumulating on the countertop, creating clutter that is visually chaotic and overwhelming. We would love to hook you up with new cabinets from Starmark Cabinetry. Offering everything from deep storage drawers, to integrated spice racks, and pull-out appliance shelves, your clutter-free kitchen awaits!
Not only are Starmark Cabinets super customizable, they also come in a wide range of wood types, finishes, and door styles. Bring your inspiration photos to the Bozeman Location Home Design Center today and our friendly staff will help you design your perfect kitchen!
We’re not done with the kitchen yet; let’s talk about fixtures. We’re in love with the Tumba pull-down sprayer faucet from Karran, pictured here in matte black. Match this up with some low-profile cabinet pulls (no more snagged pockets!) and modern pendant lights over your island to tie the entire room together.
If a full kitchen remodel isn’t in the budget, adding a fresh coat of paint can transform any room over a weekend. We’re loving Benjamin Moore’s Gardenia (AF-10), a creamy off-white that is sure to brighten up any space. Use a deep, dusty shade of brown like Benjamin Moore’s Minx (2112-18) on window trim against the white walls for a dramatic, but subtle, contrast.
Of course, interior renovations are not limited to just the kitchen and bath. Maybe you want a new laundry room, with overhead cabinetry, a folding area and custom storage solutions. How about that mudroom? Imagine an entryway free of clutter when everything has a home. Even the playroom. The possibilities are endless, and our helpful staff at the Bozeman Location Home Design Center can help you make your mood board a reality.
